This is approx at 250 million dollar division with multiple plant locations is seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting manager depending on the applicants level of supervisory background. This manufacturing company within the Northwest suburbs is growing their product lines. They provide product to fortune 500 companies. The Senior Division Accountant or Division Accounting Manager will report to the Director. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis, cash flow statement and income statement preparation. The Senior Division Accountant is also responsible for leading the consolidation of the financial results of all Americas business units and financial reporting for corporate. The role will work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to ensure consistency and adherence of financial policies and regulatory reporting qualifications including compliance with reporting timetables. Position assignments Full responsibility of the general ledger month-end close and preparation of the balance sheet, cash flow statement and income statement Full responsibility for the preparation of General Ledger entries and reconciliation for month-end closing to close the books in a timely manner Full responsibility for analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and reporting on variances Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliation, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documentsschedules Lead completion of month end and year end close activities for both domestic international business units Consolidate and report monthly financial to senior management Assist in cash management activities as directed by management Management of the Fixed Asset process, policy, and procedure Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls Ownership of the internal and external financial and tax audit and examination processes Ensure consistent, timely and accurate reporting to all recipients of financial and business info Assist in the development and execution of effective and accurate business plans, budgets and forecasts, financial reporting and related analysis, while working in conjunction with business unit consolidation needs Exhibit excellent judgment. Heshe will at times be met with competing and sometimes contradictory demands and will need the background to sort through those demands, identify priorities, establish an action plan and make it happen Develop and deliver effective and timely Business Analysis both ad hoc and at the direction or request of the Management Team to further an environment of fact-based, profit-oriented business decisions Supervisory Responsibilities- for Division Accounting Manager Manages AP Supervisor one directly and AP team two indirectly Responsible for the development and creates an environment to help motivate the subordinate to optimize their performance and professional growth Preference will be given to someone with background in an accounts payable environment that supported a manufacturer of products6 years relevant accounting background in a manufacturing and product development environment with inventory accounting and cost accounting background .
